New Year’s Eve (the 31st of December) marks the final night of the calendar year. People all over the world celebrate it with fireworks and big parties.
5 February – Kashmir Day
On 05 Feb, Pakistan shows support and unity with the people of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir and backs Kashmiri separatists’ efforts to secede from India. Additionally, it honors the Kashmiris who have died in the conflict.
01 May – Labour Day
In 1889, an international federation of socialist groups and trade unions designated May 1 as May Day, a day to support workers. They commemorated the Haymarket Affair, a violent confrontation that took place on May 4, 1886, in Chicago, Illinois.
01 July – Completion of Financial Year
The Financial Year starts on 1st July and ends on 30st June. Thus, one needs to calculate the sum from the first day of the financial year to the last day of the year.

14 August – Independence Day
Pakistan observes Youm-e-Azadi, or Independence Day, annually on 14 August. This day commemorates when Pakistan achieved independence and became a sovereign state following the end of the British Raj in 1947.
06 September – Defence Day
On 6th September, Pakistan celebrates Defence Day to remember the sacrifices made by the Pakistani armed forces in the war of 1965. Defence Day holds significant importance in the history of Pakistan.
09 November – Iqbal Day
Iqbal Day, celebrated on 9th November each year, marks the birthday of Muhammad Iqbal. Iqbal, a poet and philosopher, greatly inspired the Pakistan Movement. Therefore, all provinces of Pakistan celebrate 9 November as a tribute to Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the “Poet of the East”.
25 December – Christmas Day
People celebrate Christmas annually on December 25. It is both a Christian festival that celebrates the birth of Jesus and an important cultural event.

25 December – Quid-e-Azam Day
Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, was born on 25 December. Consequently, Pakistan officially celebrates Quaid-e-Azam Day, sometimes referred to as Quaid Day, as a public holiday.
